TEHRAN -- The Iranian production company Sima Films and the leading European entertainment network RTL Group announced their collaboration on making “The wall,” a feature drama on immigration.

Shooting is scheduled to begin in mid November and over 80 percent of the flick will be taken in Berlin and Cologne, assistant director Amir-Reza Makin stated on the Sima Film website on Tuesday.
The film will be directed by Farzad Motamen after he completes his TV project “The Confused Clock of the Time.”
“We selected autumn to take the German sequences in order to avoid any problems with modesty issues regarding people’s clothing,” Makin noted.
“In the cold season, Germans dress in a manner that assures us that we won’t have problems over modesty when taking the street shots,” he added.
Film productions are not allowed in Iran that show women in skimpy clothes.
“The Wall” tells the story of an Iranian man who lives along with his family in Germany who had left Iran in his early teens at his father’s insistence. The father decides to meet his son in Germany after many years, but then confronts imbroglios for which he is unable to find resolutions.
Iranian actors Reza Kianian and Mohammad Behzadnia, and German actress Tanja Fornaro will star in film.
The screenplay was written by Farhad Tohidi and Siamak Pursharif is producing the film.
